Diaper changes are the worst now. The. Worst. Especially poopy diapers.
A couple of months ago I wrote a post on how William had learned to roll over onto his stomach and the headaches that came with that new milestone. But since then he has become a lot more mobile. He is a few days away from full out crawling and constantly wants to be on the move. Needless to say, when we put him down for a diaper change, his little body immediately flips over and then is in the crawling position ready to go. How in the world are we supposed to change a diaper like this?
At least wet diapers don’t require too much clean up- but poopy diapers. Y’all….the struggle is real. Yesterday I was mid-poopy diaper change & my little wiggle worm decided he’d had enough & flipped himself over & in the process smeared poop all over a blanket. By the time I was finished I had literally worked up a sweat. Holding him down does nothing. I dread the diaper change. I feel like I am wrestling a wild animal.
What are your tips? What has worked for you? I give him toys & that lasts long enough for me to get the diaper undone. I try holding him down, but he just wiggles through my grip. Does it get easier? Whew…. Comment below.
